NNL fMRI and Tractography workshop in October, new features and events

Welcome to our insights letter, where we keep you in the loop on the latest developments, exciting milestones, and progress in creating our cutting-edge software. We appreciate your continued support and are thrilled to share our journey with you. Here's a snapshot of what's been happening.

In this newsletter:

  • Overview of the latest updates

  • Upcoming events

  • June fMRI workshop recap

Discover our latest updates!

What’s new?

  • Simultaneous scrolling of series in PACS

You can now export secondary-capture images that remain linked as you scroll in PACS. This means you can scroll in sync between structural scans and post-processed overlays, such as fMRI activations or tractography, right inside your PACS viewer.

  • Workflow improvements

    • Swap underlays in one click with any other map from the patient data list, facilitating quick comparisons.

    • Easier deletion of patients directly from the patients overview page, simplifying data cleanup.

    • Find most recently received studies faster with the new sorting option, ensuring that your most relevant cases are always at the top.

NOTE:
These feature updates are available to a few customers only. They will be made generally available in the next releases.

See nordicMEDiVA at these upcoming events!

NNL fMRI and Tractography workshop at Rady Children’s Hospital

Are you a neuroradiologist, MR technologist, neuropsychologist, physicist, or neuroimaging specialist? This fall, join us in beautiful San Diego for a transformative two-day hands-on workshop on functional MRI and tractography.

What’s in it for you?

  • Build confidence in performing and interpreting fMRI scans — especially in complex clinical cases.

  • Master advanced fibre tracking techniques to map critical neural pathways.

  • Deepen your theoretical understanding of fMRI and tractography, so you can tailor your approach to each patient with precision.

  • Learn from peers and experts in an interactive setting designed to inspire, challenge, and connect.

Whether you’re new to the topic, or wish to deepen your knowledge, this experience is all about empowering you.

Looking forward to see you!

ASFNR 2025 in Austin, TX

Join us at the 18th annual meeting of the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology (ASFNR) and experience nordicMEDiVA in action!

This year we are glad to provide a hands-on experience with clinical fMRI during the BOLD fMRI Pre-Symposium Workshop on September 18. You’ll learn to perform task-based BOLD language and motor mapping, explore resting-state fMRI, and acquire DTI — all using nordicMEDiVA.

What to expect from the workshop?
This full day workshop provides didactic and hands-on experience with clinical fMRI, including task-based language and motor mapping, as well as an introduction to resting-state fMRI. The aim of the workshop is to equip attendees with the foundation to begin or enhance their own clinical fMRI program.

Stop by our stand anytime throughout the meeting for in-depth demonstrations and one-on-one guidance.

Looking forward to see you!

For an interruption-free one-on-one, please reply to this email to pre-schedule a session. That way, we will make sure the relevant members from our team are there to greet you and answer any questions about current or coming features.

NNL fMRI Users Meeting recap 🌼

On June 3rd we heard from a wonderful variety of expert speakers. We heard advice, recommendations and clinical cases related to presurgical mapping, discussions about Quality Assurance, reproducibility, consensus and standardization. Research topics covered the study of social cognition, the impressive use of VR technology for interactive and immersive experiments inside the scanner, and “hyperscanning”, where two participants in two different scanners are interacting during an fMRI study.

At our stand we had a great opportunity to demo nordicMEDiVA to attendees and speakers, gathering much valuable feedback on its functionality and general user experience, as well as a wealth of constructive ideas for enhancement to inform our roadmap.

A big thanks to Natalie Voets, Khaled Gad, Agnieszka Pluta, Xavier Golay, Fredrik Brekke, Karsten Specht, Margaux Dubessy, Jakub Wojciechowski and Rik Sijben for your fantastic presentations.

We’re already looking forward to the next meeting!
