Recent events recap
We’re excited to share the latest updates to nordicMEDiVA, along with opportunities to connect in person at upcoming conferences across the US and Europe.
What’s new?
Our newest release focuses on clarity, speed, and workflow efficiency, helping you move from data to insight faster:
New features & improvements:
Coregistration contour – Verify the alignment between loaded layers in our coregistration workflow using an additional contour (outline) feature.
Exporting enhancements:
3D view export – In addition to our existing 2D secondary capture exports, we support 3D view export with configurable slice numbers and rotation angles, supporting dynamic visualization in presentations, reports, and documentation.
Legend – All loaded maps can be displayed in a legend on secondary capture export, including t- and p-values for activation maps as well as tract names.
Quality control graphs, such as motion correction graphs, can also be exported as part of secondary capture.
Quicker access to quality control tools – Coregistration verification and quality control graphs are accessible directly from the top menu.
Extended color palette – More than 20 colors are available to assign to VOIs, tracts, etc.
Performance enhancements – This update brings faster, smoother performance across key workflows:
Coregistration – Optimized speed of loading and auto coregistration.
Tractography – Quicker loading and more responsive VOI dissection.
Exporting – Faster preview loading and export map generation for a more efficient workflow.
Session count – A list of remaining user sessions is shown in the top menu, accompanied by the names of users in your organization that currently have nordicMEDiVA browser tabs opened.
NOTE:
These feature updates are available to a few customers only. They will be made generally available in the next releases.
See nordicMEDiVA at these upcoming events in the US and Europe!
As we approach CE marking, we’re excited to reconnect with colleagues across the US and Europe.
While nordicMEDiVA is not yet available for sale in the EU, these meetings are a great opportunity to meet, try our product and share your thoughts, preview the latest capabilities and learn about any future improvements we’re bringing to neuroimaging. We’re always grateful for your insights, as it informs our roadmap and inspires us to build a product that’s not only efficient, but also enjoyable to use in your day-to-day neuroimaging work 🩶

ECR 2026 — European Congress of Radiology
One of the largest radiology congresses in Europe, ECR 2026 takes place in Vienna and online from March 4 - 8, 2026. The programme spans diagnostic imaging, digital health, AI, and multidisciplinary clinical practice, with scientific sessions, interactive education, and a technical exhibition. Highlights include “The Art of AI in Clinical Practice” in the In Focus programme, returning favourites like the AI Theatre and Image Interpretation Quizzes, and new formats such as How We Do It.
Visit NordicNeuroLab at Stand 421
This year we’re excited to introduce nordicMEDiVA to the European market - web-based neuroimaging software designed to enhance comfort, optimize fMRI performance, and streamline clinical workflows. At our booth:
Discover how we advance neuroimaging through innovation and patient-centered solutions.
Explore nordicMEDiVA and other products from our comprehensive portfolio, including NordicComfortSolution, nordicAudio and nordicAktiva.
Learn how our technologies transform complex data into meaningful “rays of knowledge,” supporting diagnostic confidence, better clinical outcomes, and consistently improved patient experiences worldwide. We invite clinicians, researchers, and partners to connect, collaborate, and innovate together.

49th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) & WFNRS XXIII Symposium Neuroradiologicum & the British Society of Neuroradiology Annual Meeting (BSNR) in London, UK
From 30 September to 4 October 2026, London will host a truly unprecedented meeting: the 49th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) jointly held with the WFNRS XXIII Symposium Neuroradiologicum, and joined by the British Society of Neuroradiology Annual Meeting (BSNR).
What’s in it for you? World-class scientific sessions, advanced neuro MRI education, clinical case discussions, and rare opportunities to connect with leading neuroradiologists from Europe, the US, and beyond.
See you there!
ASFNR 19th Annual Meeting in California, USA
This year, the meeting theme is "Catch the Next Wave in Neuroimaging” and as usual, the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology annual meeting brings together thought leaders in fMRI, perfusion, AI, dementia imaging, stroke, neuro-oncology, and advanced techniques like vessel wall imaging and ultra-high field MRI.
Don’t miss pre-conference BOLD fMRI Workshop on Friday, October 9 with hands-on demos of NordicNeuroLab software. This full-day workshop combines focused lectures with hands-on sessions covering clinical fMRI workflows, including task-based motor and language mapping, paradigm selection, case review, and practical processing techniques. Participants are also introduced to resting-state fMRI and DTI, with dedicated sessions on acquisition methods and clinical applications. The workshop is designed to provide a practical foundation for starting or strengthening a clinical fMRI program, from data acquisition through interpretation and real-world implementation.
During the last year’s workshop, over 20 participants got a hands-on experience with task-based fMRI (language and motor mapping), Resting-state fMRI (not yet available for sale, stay tuned!) and DTI — all using nordicMEDiVA.
Looking forward to seeing you!

RSNA 2025
We would like to thank everyone who visited us at RSNA 2025 in Chicago! It was a pleasure connecting with clinicians, researchers, partners, and industry colleagues, and to demonstrate how our solutions support high-quality MRI experiences for both patients and professionals.
Throughout the week, our team conducted live demonstrations and discussions around our integrated portfolio, highlighting how patient comfort, clinical efficiency, and advanced neuroimaging can be seamlessly combined within the MR environment.

See you next year!
ASPNR 26
Last month, NordicNeuroLab was proud to take part in the 8th Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology in Tampa, Florida.
It was a pleasure connecting with the pediatric neuroradiology community at Booth #2, where we shared insights, exchanged ideas, and introduced our full range of fMRI solutions — alongside nordicMEDiVA, nordicAudio, and other products designed to support and streamline MR workflows.
The meeting also featured two valuable pre-conference workshops: the Core Curriculum and the hands-on Advanced Neuroimaging Workshop, offering attendees practical learning and deeper clinical perspectives.
A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to connect with our team, we truly enjoyed the conversations and collaborations. We’re excited to keep advancing neuroimaging together and look forward to seeing you at future meetings!
In January, Ole Gunnar Johansen, managing Director for Software and Post Processing at NordicNeuroLab shared his expertise with students at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Teknisk museum) in Oslo, Norway. Through hands-on sessions with use of nordicMEDiVA, he introduced MRI physics, neuroanatomy, and real clinical workflows, helping spark early curiosity and build practical understanding.
