Discover our latest updates!

What’s new?

  • Session persistence
Sessions are now automatically saved, allowing users to pick up right where they left off. This includes the retention of loaded layers, VOIs, tracts, and more — so one can resume their workflow without reloading data.

  • Expanded VOI shapes
In addition to ellipsoid, cube, and ellipse, three new 2D VOI types are now available: rectangle, polygon, and freehand. These additions offer greater flexibility for defining regions of interest.

  • Layer management
A new menu item in the MPR view now allows direct management of loaded layers. Users can view layer names, preview color palettes, toggle visibility, and remove layers — all from one place. Additional controls and features are planned for future updates.

  • Improved stability
Overall system stability has been enhanced, resulting in a noticeable reduction in crashes.

NOTE:
These feature updates are available to a few customers only. They will be made generally available in the next releases.

See nordicMEDiVA at these events next week!

Spring 2025 Hands-on fMRI and Tractography course by Andrei I. Holodny, MD

Meet us at the Spring 2025 edition of the course and gain hands-on experience with nordicMEDiVA!

Educational Objectives

  • Understand the fundamental principles behind fMRI and diffusion tractography

  • Choose the optimal fMRI paradigms appropriate for the patient and clinical situation

  • Deliver fMRI paradigms correctly and monitor the patient for adequate compliance

  • Hands on experience so that the attendee will be able to analyze fMRI and diffusion tractography

  • Understand how data is delivered to a neurosurgical navigational system and used by the neurosurgeon

  • Avoid pitfalls in the interpretation of clinical fMRI and diffusion tractography

  • Optimize fMRI billing and coding

Looking forward to see you!

NNL fMRI User meeting in Bergen

Hope to see you at NordicNeuroLab’s first fMRI Users Meeting in Bergen, Norway! Join us for a day of expert-led sessions on clinical and research fMRI, including language mapping, service setup, quality assurance, brain mapping, and innovative techniques like virtual reality (VR) and pupillometry in fMRI.

There will also be plenty of opportunities to connect with others, share ideas, and talk about what’s new (and tricky) in the field. Members of our team will be there too — we’d love to say hi and chat with you in person!

Get a personal demo!

For an interruption-free one-on-one at any of these events, please reply to this email to pre-schedule a session. That way, we will make sure the relevant members from our team are there to greet you and answer any questions about current or coming features.

Also feel free to schedule an online demo.

May events recap 🌸

In May, we took part in both the ISMRM and ASNR meetings.

At 2025 ISMRM & ISMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Hawaiʻi, we discussed implementation of automated resting-state presurgical fMRI analysis pipelines with patient-based probabilistic functional atlases using nordicMEDiVA Resting state module. The module is currently in testing and not yet market-ready — stay tuned for future announcements!

This year we were also delighted to take an active role in the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) annual meeting in Philadelphia. We were honored to join a panel of experts on advanced tractography — a topic that is extremely close to our hearts, with the significant work that has gone into the tractography module within nordicMEDiVA software.

Thanks for having us—we’re already looking forward to next year’s meetings!
